When applying for admission, you may provide self-reported SAT and/or ACT test scores on your application.
You will need to have your official scores sent by the testing agency only if you are admitted and you choose to enroll at UNC Charlotte.
How to Self-Report Your ACT and SAT Scores
There are two ways to self-report your SAT and/or ACT test scores.
You may input your scores in the testing section of the Common App, Future 49er Application or CFNC Application.
You may also send an email to admissions@charlotte.edu with your test date(s) and EBRW and Math score for SAT or your English, Math, Reading, Science and Composite scores for ACT.
Please note, scores must be complete.
UNC Charlotte Verifies Self-Reported Test Scores
All admitted students who intend to enroll at Charlotte are required to submit official test scores for score verification.
Admitted students must submit their scores no later than June 1.
Any discrepancies between official and self-reported test scores may jeopardize your admission.
Official Scores Must Match Self-Reported Scores
Charlotte must receive the official scores that match those on which we made your admission decision in order to finalize your admission to the University.
Failure to submit those scores will place your admission to Charlotte in jeopardy.
Superscoring Test Scores
Charlotte superscores the SAT and ACT in the way that most advantages the applicant.
ESSAY: Charlotte does NOT require the optional Writing/Essay portion of the SAT or the ACT.
Reporting All Test Attempts is Recommended
Undergraduate Admissions uses the test scores that give the individual student the greatest advantage in the admissions process, which is why it is important to report all test attempts on your application.
Failure to report all of your test scores may impact your admission decision.
