Your Responsibilities Checklist

If you are a freshman admitted for the spring semester, please use this checklist as a guide to your next steps for enrollment at UNC Charlotte.
VISIT UNC CHARLOTTE.

If you have not done so already, please visit us for a daily tour and information session, or better yet, plan to attend one of our Explore UNC Charlotte open house dates. See Tour Information for complete details.

REPORT ANY CHANGES.

Change of address, change of major, change of plans, etc., must be reported to Undergraduate Admissions in writing immediately. Our address is: Undergraduate Admissions - Cato Hall, UNC Charlotte, 9201 University City Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28223-0001 or email: unccadm@uncc.edu

IF YOU PLAN TO APPLY FOR NEED-BASED FINANCIAL AID, DO SO IMMEDIATELY.

For loans, federal grants, work-study jobs on campus, etc., the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the only form required. The easiest way is the FAFSA on-line: http://fafsa.ed.gov/. If you have questions about student financial aid at UNC Charlotte, visit http://finaid.uncc.edu.

 APPLY FOR CAMPUS HOUSING

We encourage all freshmen to live on campus, and most will. Our data indicates those who do will make better grades and have a richer experience in the first year than those who do not. The housing application is available now online at http://housing.uncc.edu. Visit the web site of the Office of Housing and Residence Life for a virtual tour of housing options and to apply for campus housing.

REGISTER FOR SPRING CLASSES AT S.O.A.R.

In December the Dean of Students Office will send you information about Student Orientation Advising Registration (SOAR) on-campus sessions for the spring semester. The SOAR dates for freshmen are January 7th and January 8th. You must attend one of these SOAR dates in order to register for classes. Please visit the SOAR website for complete information and an online registration form (available in December).

SEND IN YOUR FINAL HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT AFTER GRADUATION

This is your responsibility. If you haven't already done so, ask your school counselor to send Undergraduate Admissions your final high school transcript.

SEND IN COLLEGE TRANSCRIPTS IF YOU TOOK CLASSES THIS FALL

If you took fall classes at another college or university, please request that the school send us an official copy of your transcript showing that coursework. We will award any applicable transfer credits.

COMPLETE YOUR IMMUNIZATIONS FORM.

Please download an Immunizations Form that you must complete and return to Student Health Services prior to the start of classes. Immunization information that may be on your high school transcript is not able to be transferred to Student Health Services.
