High School Group Tour Information 

UNC Charlotte offers limited opportunities for large high school groups to take a campus tour with a student tour guide from the Undergraduate Admissions Office. The one hour, walking tour provides general information about each building. The tour does not include campus housing or the interior of the academic buildings. Please note that group tours are available only on Mondays and Fridays at 11 a.m. Group tours cannot be scheduled on national holidays, campus breaks, and other days that UNC Charlotte is not in session. 

In order for us to fulfill your request, we require the following:

  • The tour request must be submitted a minimum of four weeks prior to the requested tour date.

  • The tour group must be comprised of juniors and seniors in high school. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate groups of students in elementary school, middle school, or others who have not achieved junior status.

  5. Desired tour date and time. Available days are Mondays and Fridays at 11 a.m. during the fall and spring semester (see Important Notes below)
  6. Total number of students in the group
  7. Number of chaperones. We require one chaperone per 10 students.  
  8. Group breakdown: # of juniors, # of seniors

  9. Purpose of campus visit 

Once we have scheduled and confirmed your group's tour date and time we will send a confirmation packet to the group's contact person. That packet will include a confirmation letter, directions to campus, parking information, as well as other information that will help you plan a successful visit to our campus.

Important Notes

  • We are only able to accommodate one group per time slot. Because of this, we ask that you refrain from making travel arrangements until you've received confirmation from our office of your tour date and time.
  • The tour group must arrive promptly. Tour groups that are late in excess of 30 minutes will not be given a student-guided tour.  At that time your group will have the option of rescheduling for another available day.
