Lindsey Talmadge

A bigger city and new faces is what attracted Lindsey Talmadge to UNC Charlotte her freshman year. She needed a place where she could not only grow as a student but as a person. Lindsey was born in Toledo, OH but moved to North Carolina at a young age so she claims to be a "Carolina girl with a northern twist". Her hometown is Raleigh, NC where her family still resides. She is double-majoring in biology and exercise science with a minor in Interdisciplinary Health Studies.

Outside of the classroom, Lindsey is a Student Alumni Ambassador, a member of a co-ed intramural basketball team, webmaster for Voices of Eden Gospel, co-president of the University Tour Guides, and a participant in undergraduate research.

If Lindsey finds herself with "free time" she is exploring the city of Charlotte. Her favorite thing so far has been the annual trip to Carowinds with the University Tour Guides. Lindsey credits her campus activity and success to excellent peers and faculty who encouraged her to go beyond her personal best.

"It was hard to find a university to fit me academically but to find one that fit me academically, socially, and spiritually was a strike of luck. I have found my gold mine in Charlotte!"
