Required High School Courses (Minimum Course Requirements)
- English: Four units (college preparatory)
- Algebra 1, 2, geometry, and a fourth year of math beyond Algebra II.
- Social studies: Two courses, one of which must be U.S. History
- Science: Three courses (a physical science, biological science,
and a laboratory course)
- Foreign language: Two units of the same foreign language

- World history
- Health education (1/2 unit)
- Additional academic courses beyond the Minimum Course Requirements

High School Performance
- Academic courses in grades 9 - 11. Applicants must have the
required high school courses. Most applicants we admit exceed
them and have performed well.
- Grade point average. Please provide us with your grade point
average computed on a 4.0 scale.
- Senior year course selection. In addition to English and math, we encourage students to take science and foreign language in the senior year. We also expect a solid schedule of academic courses in the Spring semester.
