UNC CHARLOTTE WELCOMES STUDENTS FROM ACROSS THE U.S. AND ALL PARTS OF THE WORLD TO ENHANCE OUR VIBRANT CAMPUS COMMUNITY.
Hello! My name is Hannah Holst and I am a sophmore majoring in Communications. Like you, I am an out-of-state student attending UNC Charlotte. Being fourteen hours away from my home in Geneva, IL, I can't just jump in the car for a quick trip home when I am feeling homesick or when the campus seems like a ghost town on long weekends. This is why the admissions office and myself, created Niners Away From Home.
Niners Away From Home is a social organization helping to provide out-of-state students with a place to meet fellow out-of-state peers & mentors, and become more adjusted to college life being away from home.
Goal: To unite the out-of-state student community through social programming and activities like exploring uptown and surrounding areas of Charlotte, finding study and workout buddies, and connecting upperclassmen with freshman and transfers new to North Carolina.
We want to help make UNC Charlotte your home away from home! Feel free to email me with any questions or concerns and be sure to Join the Facebook Group
We hope to see you soon in the Queen City,
