Housing
UNC Charlotte residence halls, suites and apartments are among the finest anywhere and freshmen are permitted to live in any of the residences available on-campus without restriction. New freshman, however, are encouraged to live in either a high rise or suite environment. Regardless of where you decide to live, you will be in modern, clean and comfortable housing. Living on campus truly puts you in the center of activities, classes and dining facilities.
Cypress Hall is the newest lived-in residence hall. This hall opened for UNC Charlotte students during the fall of 2004. Residents choosing Cypress have indicated that they wish to live and study with other students who have a specific academic major or area of interest. Current construction of the new Greek Village is in progress and will provide university sponsored housing opportunities for 14 fraternities and sororities.
Whether choosing a residence hall, suite or apartment, a variety of lifestyles choices are offered, such as: nonsmoking floors, limited visitation, Greek housing, international house, honors in residence, learning communities, and substance-free living.
Living on campus is convenient, affordable and rewarding. Please visit their website at www.housing.uncc.edu for information about applying for campus living.
