Students whose applications become complete after the March 30 date will be considered on a space available basis.

 

 

Required High School Courses (Minimum Course Requirements)

 

  1. English: Four units (college preparatory)
  2. Algebra 1, 2, geometry, and a fourth year of math beyond Algebra 2
  3. Social studies: Two units, one of which must be U.S. History
  4. Science: Three units (a physical science, biological science, and a laboratory course)
  5. Foreign language: Two units of the same foreign language
Recommended High School Courses
  1. Math, science, and foreign language in the senior year
  2. World history
  3. Health education (1/2 unit)
  4. Additional academic courses beyond the Minimum Course Requirements

Admission Decisions Are Based On

 
High School Performance
  1. Academic courses in grades 9 - 11. Applicants must have the required high school courses. Most applicants we admit exceed them and have performed well.
  2. Grade point average. Please provide us with your grade point average computed on a 4.0 scale.
  3. Senior year course selection. In addition to English and math, we encourage students to take science and foreign language in the senior year. We also expect a solid schedule of academic courses in the Spring semester.
